Fruits:

1. Strawberries

The strawberry plants have survived the winter so far, so fingers crossed. They are doing very well and hopefully we will get a good crop.

We had a great crop of strawberries, 100's in fact!!

2007

All of our potatoes are now harvested, even though some of them were a victim to all the rain we had over the last few months, but, not a bad harvest for our first attempt. We are now in the process of preparing the soil where our potatoes came out, with organic compost, that has been dug in this week (20/08/07) and we should be ready for our first winter harvest, we will keep you informed.....this week, we have planted winter onions, and strawberries.

There is still a lot to do on the plot before winter, so we will update this page as soon as possible.

2008

Watch this space. Most of the winter months have been spent preparing ground for planting in 2008. We have planted Broad Beans and Jerusalem artichokes this weekend despite the heavy frosts. The allotment is looking great at the moment. We have managed to plant and harvest successfully again this year, unfortunately, we lost broad beans to blackfly, onions to white rot and shallots to white rot, but this is fine and a steep learning curve.
